Peña Inculta is a native forest belonging to the island’s indigenous communities. The entire forest floor is covered with volcanic rock, which is the reason the forest has not been cleared for agricultural use. Here you can enjoy local ancient trees, a wide variety of plants, monkeys (howler and white-face) and different birds from the 63 species that inhabit the ecosystem, especially the yellow neck parrot who has been adopted as the official mascot of the site. |
